Melissa Goeltz
Melissa Goeltz – President
Melissa Goeltz is an event coordinator and a health & wellness coach specializing in movement and nutrition. She is an avid volunteer in the local community. Currently, Melissa serves as the President of the Florence Recreation Facility & the Florence Carlton Athletic Booster Club. She also coordinates the Missoula Children’s Theater Programming at Florence Carlton School and volunteers regularly for the Florence Carlton Parent Organization. Melissa’s most passionate role is as a dedicated wife and mother of two. Her inspiration for serving the community was born out of shadowing her father and grandfather for many years in their notable volunteerism & philanthropic endeavors. Melissa believes deeply in making a positive impact on her community through kindness, compassion, leadership, and commitment.
Linda Jacobson
Vice President / Public Relations
Linda was born in Great Falls, MT, and graduated from Billings Senior High School. She played basketball for the University of Montana Lady Griz and graduated with a degree in Organizational Communication. Linda is the founder of LWJ Productions and Recruiting Consulting, and Community Manager for the Montana-based documentary, The House That Rob Built. Her role on the FRF Board is Vice President/Public Relations. She was the Vice President/Public Relations for 3 years, for the non-profit Florence Carlton Parent Organization. Linda and her husband Brian, have two children and live in Florence, MT.
Julie Kidd
Secretary / Treasurer
Julie Kidd serves as our FCC/FRF Secretary/Treasurer. She is a loving stay-at-home wife and mother of three daughters, who attend FCS. She and her family have lived in the Florence community for 10 years. Julie has a passion and heart for the Florence Recreation Facility project and the drive to see it to completion.
Christy Duchien
General Board Member
Christy Duchien has been a middle school teacher and volleyball coach for the past twenty-plus years. She has a passion for promoting the overall well-being of the life of the students and athletes in her stead. Christy's family plays an active role in the community as her husband, Pat, coaches high school football in Florence and her 18 and 14-year-old boys can often be found on a field or court. Christy also strives to better herself for the good of others through continuous education, social networking, and keeping her faith ever-present in her day-to-day life.
Julie Shepp
General Board Member
Julie Shepp is a current member-at-large within the Florence Recreation Facility Board. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing working part-time as a Florence School Nurse, after working 20 years within a hospital setting. Julie is the former President of the Florence-Carlton Parent Organization and now holds the position of the Florence-Carlton School Nurse. In addition, she teaches CPR within the community regularly. Julie is very community-focused and looks for opportunities to improve the health and well-being of people of all ages.
